Who is corporate membership for?

Corporate membership is open to employers who will be joining at least 10 employees onto their corporate membership scheme. (Any employee can join your scheme.)

What does corporate membership cost?

There is no cost to the organisation in joining ILM as a corporate member. There is a reduced annual subscription for each employee who joins the scheme - £78 (normally £95) for all membership grades except Fellowship which costs £115 (normally £125).

Does the employer have to pay the subscriptions?

Membership subscriptions can be paid by individual employees (direct debit only) or by the employer (direct debit, credit card, cheque or invoice). The reduced subscriptions apply regardless of who pays.

What membership services/benefits are available on the scheme?

Membership services are carefully selected to appeal to individuals at all stages of their career. ILM provides a comprehensive menu of services including personal and professional support and development, as well as a whole range of specialist information resources. Learn more.

Can the corporate membership package be tailored?

For employers who can guarantee a minimum of 100 employees within their corporate membership scheme. Services can be tailored (in consultation with ILM) to suit the requirements of the organisation .

Are there any membership services for the employer?

Yes:

  • ILM corporate member certificate and logo
  • Discounts on advertisements in ILM’s award-winning leadership and management magazine Edge
  • Preferential rates on ILM consultancy eg Training Needs Analysis (TNA) or mapping in-house training programmes to ILM qualifications
  • Discounts on psychometric tools on leadership, mental toughness and recruitment
  • Listing on ILM website
  • Entry onto ILM’s PR register as a press contact or for case studies (optional)
Furthermore there are optional services, depending on your organisational preferences:
  • entry on to ILM's PR register as a press contact for case studies
  • host ILM member events 
  • advertise open courses on ILM website 
  • sponsor ILM conferences, events or research 
  • network with other corporate members

How does ILM decide each employee’s membership grade?

Your managers will be provided with an individual application form to complete. The information provided will determine which ILM membership grade they will qualify for.

My organisation is an ILM centre – does this mean I'm also a corporate member?

No. Approval as a centre does not include corporate membership.

Can candidates studying for ILM qualifications join your corporate membership scheme?

Yes. Although candidates studying for ILM qualifications are entitled to one year’s free studying membership, corporate membership will ensure access to a far wider range of member services. To get the most from their qualification, studying members should be encouraged to join the corporate membership scheme in order to access the full range of benefits.
