Qualification Title

The qualification title reflects the qualification level and subject. For unitised qualifications the title also reflects the qualification size where:

• Award – is a concise qualification covering the basic knowledge and skills in the subject
• Certificate – offers a more comprehensive programme
• Diploma – provides the complete range of skills, knowledge and understanding in the subject

Awards, certificates and diplomas at each level are nested, meaning that credits gained in the smaller sized qualification can be carried forward in to the larger, enabling learners to progress without repetition.
