The Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) is offering six months free membership to help managers negotiate the downturn and get back to work. If you are a manager and unemployed you can sign up for ILM’s ‘Free Support' package – giving you access to an extensive range of resources to increase your skill levels and find a new job.

Bouncing back
Losing your job is undoubtedly a stressful experience but with expert guidance and a positive approach, redundancy can be an opportunity to reinvigorate your career. If you find yourself out of work - don't panic. Managers need to think about what is really important to them as a next step. Redundancy could be an opportunity to retrain or take a new direction. And you don’t have to face it alone. There is now six months free support and online resources with ILM.
How to sign up
If you have been made redundant in the past six months and managed a team of one or more individuals, you are eligible to sign up for free ILM membership. Go to the simple one page application form, select 'unemployed' under employement status, and enter the promotional code UEM09 (0=zero). You will then shortly receive a welcome pack and your first copy of 'Edge' magazine.
