The ILM Level 7 Award, Certificate and Diploma in Strategic Leadership are qualifications that have been specially designed to give practising or potential senior managers and leaders critical evaluative skills for their formal development in this role.
The Award in Strategic Leadership is a concise qualification made up of two mandatory units. In the first unit participants review different leadership theories relevant to their organisation and investigate organisational leadership performance by analysing a critical incident. The second unit, ‘Developing the reflective leader’, enables participants to reflect on their learning and experience to improve their performance.
The Certificate in Strategic Leadership builds and broadens on the skills and knowledge gained in the Award with participants developing autonomy and self-direction in their learning through the third mandatory unit, ‘The leadership journey’.
The Diploma in Strategic Leadership develops a comprehensive range of leadership skills, providing participants with the broad body of knowledge required by senior managers and leaders. Certificate and Diploma participants are able to choose from a range of optional units to build their qualification; this high level of flexibility allows individuals or their employers to custom build a qualification that focuses on the key areas most relevant to their role, industry or organisation.
