The ILM IMQ Introductory Certificate and Certificate in Team Leading are qualifications specifically designed for overseas candidates. They aim to give learners a basic knowledge of the various roles and responsibilities an individual is likely to encounter as a team leader. Both qualifications are especially suited to aspiring team leaders, or those who are working in a team with little or no formal training.
The Introductory Certificate consists of one mandatory unit, ‘Role of the Team Leader’, plus five optional units. This wide choice of optional units gives a high level of flexibility, allowing the qualification to be tailored to meet the varying needs of learners and employers across all employment sectors.
The Certificate builds and broadens the skills and knowledge acquired in the Introductory Certificate. The additional mandatory and optional units required for this qualification explore in greater depth the practical techniques required to motivate teams, and to plan and monitor their work.
