Additional work for Army CLM accreditation

ILM have worked with D Ed Cap to accredit JNCO, SNCO and WO CLM courses. Some qualifications are available immediately on completion of the respective CLM training courses but if you want to gain enhanced accreditation for higher level ILM qualifications some courses require students to undertake extra work. These higher level qualifications may attract SLC funding.

JNCO CLM - enhanced qualification

Students who complete the JNCO CLM Part 3 course are eligible to claim a Level 4 Award but may wish to study for an enhanced level of accreditation which is likely to attract SLC funding. 

The Level 4 Certificate in Leadership and Management is therefore available to those students who complete the JNCO CLM course and complete the following additional work:

D Ed Cap - Army Reserves JNCO

The Level 4 Award in Leadership and Management is available to reservists who complete the Reservces JNCO CLM training and the following additional work:

SNCO CLM - enhanced qualification

The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management is available to those students who complete the SNCO CLM course and complete the following additional work:

D Ed Cap - Army Reserves SNCO

The Level 5 Award in Leadership and Management is available to reservists who complete Reserves SNCO CLM training and the following additional work:

How to apply

You will need to include payment or contact ILM to pay by card. Once registered, complete the additional work assignment and submit as follows:

Submission details

All soldiers completing additional work for accreditation should submit their work directly to ILM for marking to armedforces@i-l-m.com. AECs will not mark additional work.

Soldiers undertaking the additional assignments are required to complete an authentication sheet.

Guidance notes are provided to assist in interpreting our exact requirements.

The following information MUST be included in your submission email:

  • Centre name: D Ed Cap
  • Centre number: 011908L
  • Rank
  • Name
  • Service number
  • Unit
  • Home address (This is the address where the qualification certificate will be sent)
  • Which CLM course you have completed
  • ILM qualification you are applying for.

Once your additional work has been marked, you will receive an email to say if you have passed and if you are able to apply for the ILM qualification. Please retain this confirmation email and submit it in accordance with the other requirements detailed on the application form.
