Focus on the skills you need
The mandatory unit, ‘Improving own leadership performance through action learning’, focuses on empowering you to review, understand and improve your own performance as a leader.

The optional units cover a range of relevant skills and knowledge.

• ‘Managing improvement’ – to meet or exceed customer requirements
• ‘Leading innovation and change’ – find and implement new solutions
• ‘Managing for efficiency and effectiveness’ – on an organisational and a personal level
• ‘Developing excellence in operations’ – assess how well the organisation is meeting customer requirements
• ‘Leading project implementation’ – lead successful projects, critically analyse and evaluate risks, outputs and finance.

Structure

Details of the qualification, learning time involved and criteria a learner must satisfy

The qualification is structured into 2 unit groups. 2 hours of induction and at least 7 hours of tutorial support are required. There is one mandatory unit. Learners must attain a minimum of 18 credits (a minimum of 3 credits from group 2) to achieve this qualification.
