ILM at CIPD 2017: 1st Prize Stand

November saw the ILM events team tackle the CIPD Annual conference and exhibition held at Manchester Central Convention centre. The team spent countless hours in strategy and preparation conversations to do what ILM does best, deliver the leading offerings and thought leadership.

The ILM stand stood in the middle of the centre and immediately caught your eye as you entered the large venue. The clean lines and minimalism of the stand with the well-known yellow and black colour scheme and predominance of our key message, ‘Can you measure the return on Apprenticeships, created the perfect environment for conversations to take place. This was coupled with friendly and knowledgeable staff and a large board with an illustrator capturing the conversational journey on the stand. The illustration created the opportunity for enquiring minds to talk openly and also advised reference points for conversations.

Day 1 saw the opportunity for John Williams, ILM Director of Strategy, Research and Marketing and Andy Dent, ILM Territory Business Manager, to lead a showcase piece on ‘Contagious Conduct: what’s spreading in your organisation?’ The showcase was deemed to be the best attended and again the audience was encouraged to engage and their engagement created a further opportunity to illustrate conversations.

With all of these key attributes in mind, the successes of the show were not only the relevant and meaningful conversations had but also being awarded 1st place for best small stand at the show. This is the second show in a row where the stand has been awarded and again cements the great understanding and knowledge of the ILM events team who deserve a huge congratulations on this great accolade.
