There are five mandatory units, covering the skills and knowledge you need to be effective at this level:

• Thorough grounding in your role and responsibilities
• Crucial soft skills – including communication, relationship-building
• Develop your critical thinking abilities
• Understand the financial concepts that inform management decisions
• Use these concepts to make a financial case
• Identify and analyse opportunities for improvement
• Find and implement innovative solutions, lead through change

The optional units cover a broad range of core and specialist topics. Work with your employer or training provider to find the units that best fit your individual and organisational requirements.

The qualification is structured into 3 groups. At least 2 hours of induction and at least 9 hours of tutorial support are required. There are 5 mandatory units and a choice of optional units. Learners must attain a minimum of 37 credits (a maximum of 14 credits from group 3) to achieve this qualific
