Who is qualification for?

This qualification is designed for business advisers, consultants and managers working in the social enterprise sector – benchmark your knowledge, build understanding of current thinking, improve your own practice.

Focus on the skills you need

There are two mandatory units at Certificate level, ‘Understanding social enterprise’ and ‘Personal professional development’. Then, depending on your skills gaps and professional requirements, choose one from three optional units. These will give you the skills to advise on:

• Developing social enterprise
• Promoting social enterprise
• Sustaining social enterprise

At Diploma level, all the above units are mandatory.

Structure

The qualification is structured into 1 unit group. At least 2 hours of induction and at least 3 hours of tutorial support are required. Learners must attain a total of 21 credits from 2 mandatory units and a choice of optional units to achieve this qualification.
Diploma

We have three sizes of qualification: certificate, award and diploma in increasing order of size

The qualification is structured into 1 unit group. At least 3 hours of induction and at least 3 hours of tutorial support are required. Learners must attain a total of 37 credits from 5 mandatory units and a choice of optional units to achieve this qualification.
