Focus on the skills you need:

The Award has two mandatory units. The first gives a thorough grounding in the FM role as it applies to you and your organisation. The second covers health and safety policies and best practice. The optional units deal with specific FM competencies – such as sustainability issues – and also cover broader management and leadership skills.

The Certificate has two additional mandatory units. One focuses on delivering and improving FM services. The second deals
with building relationships and influencing stakeholders for effective take-up of FM policies.

In the Diploma, there are four more mandatory units. One covers managing and maintaining property and assets, in the context of your organisation. The remaining three focus on soft leadership and management skills – including solving problems, making decisions and developing yourself and others.

Structure

The qualification is structured into 1 unit group. At least 2 hours of induction and at least 2 hours of tutorial support are required. There are 4 mandatory units and a choice of optional units. Learners must attain a total of 21 credits to achieve this qualification.
