Leadership and Managment in the adult care sector

Adult Care 680x400

The regulatory standards that underpin best practice in the adult care sector pose a unique set of challenges for leaders and managers wanting to progress. An essential part of successfully managing excellent care is being able to develop the specific knowledge and skills required for an adult social care setting.

Working with key industry stakeholders, including the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC), ILM has developed the new Level 4 Certificate in Principles of Leadership and Management for Adult Social Care. Approved by The Council for the Curriculum Examinations and Assessment (CCEA), this qualification is aimed at developing new or aspiring adult social care managers in Northern Ireland.

Successful completion of the qualification will develop skills to create a culture that encourages team members to take responsibility for quality, effectively work with other agencies and professionals and adhere to the robust professional standards that adult care managers encounter daily.
