ILM Assessment Service (ILMA) Important Update

14 December 2021

From 1 January the ILMA service will no longer use numerical marks on the results sheets for ILM Leadership and Management qualifications. Learners will be provided a pass or referral and feedback against each criterion. This works well for the Coaching and Mentoring qualifications where the use of marks was removed when the qualifications were refreshed. We’ve received customer feedback that the marks can cause disagreements between learners which we hope this improvement will mitigate. On the ILMA portal you will see ‘1’ for referrals and ‘99’ for passes in the marks field. We will look to remove this field from the portal in the future.

This change will apply to all new assessments allocated on the portal from the 1 January. For continuity, any assessments or reassessments from submissions prior to this date will continue with the marks until completed. Please ensure you upload the existing marksheet for resubmissions.

The marksheet templates won’t be updated until we refresh the qualifications. The unit criteria set out on the marksheets is still valid. We will leave the marks sections blank.

The ILM Assessment Service provides a cost-effective marking service for our most popular core Leadership & Management and Coaching & Mentoring qualifications.
